40 years of JAGD & HUND! Europe's largest hunting fair is celebrating a milestone birthday and will be presenting a number of highlights and an extensive supporting program to celebrate.
Look forward to a variety of current products and services from numerous national and international exhibitors as well as exciting and interesting program items. A special highlight is the outdoor area, which is accessible to all visitors free of charge, with a variety of themes and surprises.

Stage becomes a rutting ground
The main stage in Hall 4 of the Jagd & Hund trade fair in Dortmund will once again become the rutting ground for Germany's best deer imitators on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 12 noon. In the competition organized by WILD UND HUND and the Jagd & Hund trade fair, participants must compete in the following disciplines:
1. The Voice of the Old, Searching Deer
2. The voice of the top stag in the bald deer herd
3. Calling duel between two equally strong stags at the height of the rut
This time, the stabbing disciplines – if necessary – are the cry of the victorious stag after the fight and the contact call of an adult animal.
In addition to valuable non-cash prizes for all participants, the top 3 winners will receive a trip to the European Deer Calling Championships, which will take place in Lithuania from 17 to 19 October 2025.
Anyone who would like to compete for the title in Dortmund can register for the competition by January 13, 2025 by email at hirschrufer@paulparey.de or by post to the editorial office of WILD UND HUND, Erich-Kästner-Str. 2, 56379 Singhofen, in each case with the keyword “Hirschrufer”.

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE HIRSCHCALLERS
Experience the best deer callers in Europe: In addition to the German deer caller championship, the European deer caller championship will be held for the first time at JAGD & HUND. Participants from all over Europe will call and roar to compete in the art of deer calling. Deer calling is a hunting craft with decades of tradition and a serious background.
