Your hunt. Your moment. Your picture.

The magic of hunting lies in the small moments: the first light of dawn, the quiet crackling in the forest, eye contact with the game. These are all stories that want to be told – in pictures that move.

“Europe’s Hunting Photo of the Year 2025” is looking for just such moments. Together with the FACE (European Federation for Hunting and Conservation), JAGD & HUND is calling on all European hunters for the second time to send in their most emotional, impressive and authentic hunting photos.

Show us what hunting means to you – the connection with nature, the experience of tradition, the respect for game. Show us your passion and your skills through your photos, which show the aesthetic side of hunting (no photos of hunters).

The best shots will be selected by a top-class jury and presented to a large audience at JAGD & HUND 2026 and awarded prizes.

Whether quiet moments in nature, traditional scenes or personal experiences while stalking – we are looking for the best photos in a total of four categories that capture the diversity and fascination of hunting.

Join in and become part of a Europe-wide pictorial history of hunting. Make your hunting moment a highlight of the year!

The winners of “Europe’s Hunting Photo of the Year 2025” have been chosen!

The photo categories

Whether fascinating wild animals in the wild, young perspectives on hunting, culinary delights with game or living traditions – our photo competition is looking for the best shots of hunting and nature. Four categories offer room for creativity: Wildlife & Landscape, New Perspectives, Fresh on the Table and Hunting Culture & Heritage. Show your flair for special moments and make visible what makes hunting unique.

The beauty of wildlife in its natural environment

This category honors impressive images of wild animals in the wild. The focus is on natural scenes, aesthetic landscapes and the tranquil interplay of wildlife and habitat.

Focus on the next generation

This category recognizes fresh faces and a modern view of hunting. We are looking for authentic snapshots of young hunters and people who are breaking new ground in hunting culture – be it in training, practice or community.

From the forest to the plate: venison and preparation

Whether processing or serving: This category celebrates venison as a valuable foodstuff. We are looking for photos that show the connection between hunting, sustainability and enjoyment.

Rituals, customs and hunting accessories

Whether hunting horns, clothing or equipment: this category focuses on traditional elements and rituals of hunting.

THE CONTEST IS OVER, AND IT IS NO LONGER POSSIBLE TO ENTER.
