LANDESJAGDVERBAND NRW e.V. (LJV NRW): Hunting expertise in detail
With around 65,000 members, Landesjagdverband Nordrhein-Westfalen e.V. (LJV NRW) is Germany’s largest hunting association. Since its foundation in 1947, the LJV NRW has been actively promoting the interests of hunters and the protection of animals and species in North Rhine-Westphalia.
At JAGD & HUND, you can find out more about the diverse tasks of the LJV NRW. The association is intensively involved in species protection and is committed to preserving biodiversity in North Rhine-Westphalia.

JAGDGEBRAUCHSHUNDVERBAND e.V. (JGHV): Expertise in all things canine
As a co-founder of this trade fair, the Jagdgebrauchshundverband e.V. (JGHV, Working Gundog Association) has always been part of JAGD & HUND and contributes its expertise to the trade fair program in a variety of ways. The home of our four-legged friends at JAGD & HUND is traditionally Hall 3. Here you can learn everything about the fascinating world of hunting dogs, their abilities, their training, and their indispensable contribution to hunting.
Experience interesting shows in the activity space and on stage in Hall 4, talk to experienced dog handlers, and learn about the diversity of hunting dog breeds. You won’t find such a wealth of knowledge anywhere else!
ORDEN DEUTSCHER FALKONIERE (ODF): Birds of prey up close
Immerse yourself in the world of birds of prey and experience breathtaking bird of prey shows that will thrill you. The Order of German Falconers will be presenting its impressive expertise in falconry at the trade fair and showing you the beauty and elegance of these majestic animals.
The Order of German Falconers’ booth will be a real attraction for all hunting and nature enthusiasts. You will have the unique opportunity to learn about the art of falconry from experienced falconers and take a look behind the scenes of this traditional hunting method. Let yourself be carried away by the fascinating stories and passionate narratives of the falconers and learn more about the importance of falconry for nature conservation.

Just look, don’t touch? That doesn’t apply to the off-road vehicles at JAGD & HUND!
Our off-road vehicle course in Hall 3 offers you the unique opportunity to experience new and attractive off-road vehicles from renowned brands up close and in person, and to put them through their paces. Feel the power and stability as the vehicles overcome obstacles, climb steep inclines, and master difficult descents.

Hunting has long since arrived in the digital world. More and more hunters are sharing their experiences, providing insights into their hunting grounds, and showing what makes hunting so special. The community is growing – young, active, and more connected than ever before.
With HORRIDO, JAGD & HUND, together with Hunt on Demand and Geartester, presents a unique platform for the modern hunting scene. Here, tradition meets social media, passion meets exchange – live, direct, and hands-on.
Meet well-known creators and influencers, learn more about their stories and hunting experiences, and talk to them directly. There will also be exciting talks, product demonstrations, exclusive content such as film premieres, and plenty of real hunting spirit.
GERMAN CHAMPIONSHIP OF DEER CALLERS
When the mighty roar echoes through the halls of JAGD & HUND, goosebumps are guaranteed!
On Friday, Messe Dortmund, together with WILD UND HUND, Europe’s leading hunting magazine, will present Germany’s best stag callers. Experienced experts and up-and-coming talents compete against each other to demonstrate their extraordinary intuition and precision in imitating the calls of red deer.
In this extraordinary competition, they showcase their skills and bring the voices of red deer to life with impressive precision. The art of deer calling is a living hunting tradition and an expression of a deep understanding of nature. The German Championship brings it to life in a fascinating way.
With great passion and sensitivity, the participants imitate the different sounds of deer – from the confident dominant stag to the young rival. This high art of stag calling requires years of experience, practice, and a keen eye for observing the behavior of red deer. Traditional aids include ox horns, snail shells, and glass cylinders.
It is a spectacle that captivates the audience year after year. And an absolute highlight for hunters, nature lovers, and anyone who wants to experience real hunting craftsmanship up close.
CALLING CONTEST FOR SMALL GAME
Lure hunting is one of the most demanding and fascinating forms of hunting. It requires tact, experience, and a keen sense of the language of nature. Those who master it can actively influence the success of their hunt. Against the backdrop of rising stock numbers and damage caused by game, it plays a particularly important role in the hunting of geese and crows. It has also become indispensable in the hunting of foxes – in terms of small game conservation.
At the small game calling contest at JAGD & HUND, organized by the OVIS hunting shop in collaboration with the hunting magazine “unsere Jagd,” experienced hunters and dedicated young talents demonstrate their skills in various disciplines.
A jury of experienced hunters will evaluate the participants’ performances, while visitors will gain impressive insights into the techniques, equipment, and importance of decoy hunting for modern nature conservation.
This competition not only highlights the importance of decoy hunting, but also demonstrates the skill, knowledge, and experience involved in this traditional hunting craft.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience live how the participants strike exactly the right notes with their decoy instruments.
KIDZFIEP WELTMEISTERSCHAFT
When: Saturday, January 31, 2026 – 12:00-1:30 p.m.
Where: Horrido Stage in Hall 8
Who can participate: All children aged 6-15 who love hunting for leaves.
Conditions of participation: Can you make sounds with your lips just like Gerold – without an instrument, aids, or a lock?

The HOD team will review all application videos and let you know if you’ve been selected to participate in the 3rd KIDZ FIEP World Championship! If so, you’ll receive free admission tickets to the trade fair—for you and your parents, of course.
Competition: On Saturday, the best participants will compete one after the other. Each child will have two minutes on the HORRIDO stage with Paul and Gerold to show off their leaf skills!
The jury will then award points and give you feedback on your FIEP skills! The participant with the most points wins and becomes KIDZ FIEP World Champion!
Prizes: Each participant will receive a goodie bag with great prizes from HOD! In addition, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive additional exclusive prizes!
WuH-Kids Trade Fair Rallye
A real highlight for our younger visitors: the WuH Kids Trade Fair Rally is back for another round! At JAGD & HUND in Dortmund, there are lots of little tasks waiting for you at various exhibitor stands. Write down your answers on the entry form and drop it into the big lottery box at the WILD UND HUND stand in Hall 4.
There are great prizes to be won, which will be raffled off after the hunting fair.
The participation form is available here and at www.wildundhund.de, as well as at the entrances and all stands of participating exhibitors during the trade fair.
